So far I'm loving 811! It's not as hard as I thought it would be, just EXPENSIVE! I know it will be worth it in the end though. I just need to up my calcium intake meaning more bok choy, broccoli, collards, Chinese cabbage, kale, mustard greens, and okra. I should get some okra in my CSA box tomorrow I hope. I never had it before last week and it's AMMMMAAAZZZZIIINNG!
NB: All % (excluding distribution) are % daily values (customized) [change]. * Try to limit these nutrients (<= 100% daily value). ** Try to get enough of these nutrients (>= 100% daily value).
I first heard the words "Raw Foodism" in December of 2007. I started doing my homework and on January 1st I dove in headfirst and began my adventures in the world of beautiful living foods. 9 months later, here I am. Where is that? I'm living a high-raw (90%?) life-style and learning more about raw foods and nutrition every day.
I often say that I'm not an overnight success story, I am very much a work in progress. That describes me pretty accurately.
My blog will take you through my daily raw endeavors and the phenomenon of being raw and in college. I will share my discoveries and inquiries and blog about recovering from a battle with ED that's lasted way too long. I want to open a frank and honest dialog about eating disorders that we just don't see in today's world. I'm also learning more about natural beauty products, sustainability and simple living. You will find info about that on here too plus some random tidbits about my life and my other passions (singing, music, photography and working with kids to name a few).
Enjoy (:
